Weird and Mysterious Artifact Information Page

This personal project began with a handful of 3X3 and 3X4 mini canvases, but I’ve been adding different types of objects into the mix as I go. Scroll down until you find the object with the number matching your item to learn more about it.

OBJECT 26-1: “Banana King By Proxy”

This is my friend’s dog dressed up as a banana for Halloween. She really didn’t enjoy being a banana.

OBJECT 26-2: “The Recycle Demon Who Kills People Who Don’t Recycle”

"The Recycle Demon Who Kills People Who Don't Recycle" by Jo Mama

Took a picture of Essex Street in Salem, which happened to have some random guy in it pointing to one of the wax figure thingies. Thought it was funny and decided to paint but give it an unexpected ecological twist because, idk, it was kind of out of nowhere and thus amusing? REDUCE. REUSE. EKIKI. “Why does the background look so weird,” you might ask? Because I’m what you call an “amateur” and I couldn’t draw the building in the photo for shit lol.

OBJECT 26-3: “Essence of Reid”

This isn’t really a great depiction of him in terms of accuracy, but his folks said I really captured his essence, hence the title.

OBJECT 26-4: “We Think It’s a Dog”

This dog’s name is Rizzler. No, really. He’s kinda weird and my mum’s always saying he “looks like a snail” and shit like that so I thought I’d paint him as some kinda alien lol. Actually a repaint of a previous work that I ended up gifting to my father, so I made another one. (I was originally going to hide the actual canvases but decided against it for numerous reasons like “what if it gets destroyed in bad weather before anyone finds it?” and “so-and so claimed this canvas for their office/house/etc already, so it’s off-limits.”)

OBJECT 26-5: “Evil Larry”

Who doesn’t love Evil Larry, right? Bit of trivia, his real name is Dexter and he’s an Oriental Shorthair.

OBJECT 26-6: “Freaky Man”

This was someone’s insane looking dog I saw on Tumblr and I was like, “holy shit, freaky man.” I mean, he’s weird right?! Makes for a great art subject, methinks. If I can dig up the original picture, I’ll put it here. I try to keep track of the reference images I use when applicable, but sometimes they go missing. Congrats if you found Freaky Man Deluxe with the big heart shaped frame. That’s a special one.

OBJECT 26-7: “Pumpkin King”

A dog that’s also a pumpkin, cuz why not? Inspired by an instagram account which posts really amazing photoshop edits of fruit-animal hybrids that are hilarious. Loosely based on a cute little chihuahua named Poppy (rest in peace, king.)

OBJECT 26-8: “Hippo-pear-tamus”

As I previously mentioned, there’s an instagram called (@ speilsinn) that posts really brilliant edits of animals as fruit hybrids and that’s what inspired me to paint this cross between a hippo and a pear. Hope you found it weird!

OBJECT 26-9: “He’s a Diva”

Congrats! You found one of the fancy frame editions. This one’s based on a screenshot from some reposted Douyin but I can’t find the picture. Sorry, it happens sometimes. I’m sort of a scatterbrain tbh.

OBJECT 26-10: “Mr King of Beauty”

This is a giant river otter. They sound weird and I think they’re really cute. Sorry, I haven’t got much else to say about it.

OBJECT 26-11: “Sleep Paralysis Demon Clocking in For His Shift”

Based on an AI slop video I saw online of a dolphin flying into someone’s house. That’s pretty much all there is to say about it, honestly. Hope it made you confused!

OBJECT 26-12: “Lane Hog”

Oh no, somebody let the Loch Ness Monster into the municipal pool complex! I like using glitter on my pieces, I think its fun. My brother (Bromama) doesn’t really like it though, lol.

OBJECT 26-13: “Some Kinda… I Dunno, Man.”

This one was a collab between me and Bromama. He said he was trying to draw the weird thing on the cover of one of his Jethro Tull albums, but I think it looks like an evil alien Simba. That’s why I put the pride rock from Lion King burning in the background. Hah! Really weird shit…. Like, its on purpose though. The idea was to paint things that would confuse people. Hopefully it worked.

OBJECT 26-14: “Penis Prager Dumpster Fire”

A painting of a screencap from the YTP film “For Goodness Sake.” The part when the guy rolls out of bed and screams and hits the alarm clock with the explosion gets me every damn time. Anyways, this one’s my homage to the Penis Prager Youtube Poop Cinematic Universe, I guess.

OBJECT 26-15: “Smokin Trees with Trees”

There’s a place up in the White Mountains that’s a really intense all-year Christmas decor shop and it has a creepy tree animatronic in the entryway, which inspired this piece. I thought it would pair well with a stoner wizard, because like, why not?

OBJECT 26-16: “The Entity”

Based off a friend’s friend’s cat, but I made it a little different cuz this one’s hairless and the actual creature is white and black. I love a good hairless cat, don’t you? The eyes are done with glow in the dark paint, by the way! Well… on the original. Hey, yknow, maybe I’ll try to slap some on the print too for ya before I go hiding it. If you turn off the lights and the eyes glow, that means I actually remembered!

OBJECT 26-17: “Sorry Mama!”

So my mom (I guess we will call her “Mamamama”) saw me painting ugly weird pictures of people and stuff, including myself, and was like “lol you should draw me next.” And I was like, “nah, cuz I’m really in the zone of painting people who look ugly and weird so I think it’ll end up looking all fucked up and shitty.” But she wanted me to, so I did. Yeah. She definitely does not look like that IRL! Not that I would have probably done a great job if I had been trying to go for a more realistic look at that time either but, I mean this is just. Yeah. Sorry.

OBJECT 26-18: “Dragon Roasts Bard for Reciting Shit Poetry in Public”

Kinda speaks for itself, I think. A true product of my deranged mind, not based on any sort of pre-existing photo or meme. A real original!

OBJECT 26-19: “He Did Not Like the Bath”

Saw a video of a funny little dog flipping shit at the groomers and did this picture as an homage. Isn’t he cute?

OBJECT 26-20: “Y’all Wish You Were Him #BikeWeek”

This is actually a drawing of a little crappyass toy I saw advertised on Temu that I lowkey wanted, but not enough to waste 5 bucks on it. So I drew a picture of it instead.

OBJECT 26-21: “Woman Gets Reckt by Mothman (True Story)”

Fun fact, it’s actually not a true story, as far as I know anyway.

OBJECT 26-22: “Noble Steed”

Another completely off-the-cuff one that I dreamed up with no real starting point other than “what would be cool and weird?” Just thought it would be neat if a guy in medieval armour rode around on a big Gylptodon.

OBJECT 26-23: “Mr. Bigfeet (Yes, He’s Real)”

If I remember correctly, this is a baby Takahe bird. The adults look weird and badass too. Stare into the face of a Takahe straight on and its basically the same as looking at a fuckin T-Rex, just really, really small.

Well, wait maybe it’s a baby pūkeko I based this painting off… I really don’t remember. People on the birding side of Tumblr told me a while back. I just based it on a funny meme picture I saw tbh. Something like this:

But I mean, he’s real though, don’t get me wrong.

OBJECT 26-24: “Chester Ludlow, MBA”

Supposedly, this dog from Vermont “earned” an MBA from “Rochville University” simply by submitting some paperwork and a 500 dollar payment. Or so I heard. Def portrait worthy. Though I didn’t really capture his face very well, but whatever.

OBJECT 26-25: “Hello”

Baby otters are so cute.

OBJECT 26-26: “Pet Pet The Stinky”

The world is one big petting zoo for those brave enough to ask “excuse me…? Is it ok if I pet him?” Just make sure he hasn’t got a service animal insignia on his clothes before asking, because you aren’t supposed to distract active service animals.

OBJECT 26-27: “Dragon Heartburn”

My friend who sometimes visits the alpaca farm near her house sends me photos when she goes there. So yeah, painted one of the alpacas…. granted there were some artistic liberties taken.

OBJECT 26-28: “Honestly, Idk About This One (Cheshire Cat)”

Wish I could explain my thought process to you on this one, but frankly I was just trying to paint an interesting pattern on the canvas for fun and then was like “ok now I have to put something weird in the middle as a subject matter.”

I love the concept of the Cheshire cat in theory, but the teeth really weird me out. Like, it takes work to make a cat ugly IMO but what’s-his-head the creepy pervert guy managed to do it, provided that the teeth are mentioned in the original book anyhow. Garfield is another ugly fictional cat with weird teeth, but the funny thing is his ugliness is conditional and directly tied to whether or not the teeth are showing. Sometimes he’s ugly and sometimes he’s cute, depends on the way his mouth is drawn! Never seen Cheshire Cat without the teeth, so I guess he’s always ugly 🙁

OBJECT 26-29: “Betty Hill and Junior”

Went to a lecture about the Barney and Betty Hill alien abduction case. Interesting. Also kinda fucked up. Anyways, here’s Betty with an alien. Based on this photo of her with “Junior” which is a bust sculpture she commissioned of the alien she saw.

OBJECT 26-30: “Big Gigantic”

I watched some big rhinos destroy watermellon on Youtube and I got inspired. He huge.

OBJECT 26-31: “I Beg Your Pardon”

Images you can hear (“AAAAAUUUUUUUGH!”)

OBJECT 26-32: “The Dude Who’s a Snail Cat Thing (Based)”

Not my original concept, its actually a fanart of a painting by some random-ass medieval monk. Too bad we don’t know the genius who did it.

OBJECT 26-33: “Honestly, Relatable”

It’s really not relatable at all. Unless you are the type of guy who picks up random jellyfish on the beach. Which maybe you are. I mean, you picked up this random print of my painting, so…

Basically what the story behind this is, I was like “mum can I borrow a magazine from your magazines pile, I need a random human to reference for a painting.” And she gave me a magazine with a cover of someone playing basketball. I was like, ok cool this is a random human being. Problem is, playing basketball is an entirely normal activity. So I asked my mom “what can I replace the basketball with that would be weird?” She said a jellyfish lol. So I did that.

I like to think the person in the picture is a marine biologist who’s really excited about finding a mutant, possibly alien, jellyfish while on vacation. Or something like that.

OBJECT 26-34: “RAHH!”

Not much to say about this except RAHHH

OBJECT 26-35: “Normal Looking Dog”

OBJECT 26-36: “He Can Hardly Bear It”

OBJECT 26-37: “Midday Matinee”

Just two dudes at the theatre. One of them’s a velociraptor. I wonder what movie they’re watching? Not Jurassic Park, that’s too damn obvious. I’m sure its some shit like “The Seventh Seal” or something artsy like that.

OBJECT 26-38: “Bruh (Judgemental Gibbon)”

Clearly, he’s not impressed.

OBJECT 26-39: “Labubu Arsonist”

Saw a pic on Salem MA instagram of someone’s fantastically done Labubu cosplay in front of a historic house and I was like “I should paint this cuz it’s weird…. but honestly it’s not weird enough.” So I added some flames.

Are we done with Labubu now, as of April 2026, the time of writing this note? I’m not entirely sure. I’ve just googled it, and the giant size Labubu is still valued at about 100 USD. If they were like, 30 bucks? Shame on me, but tbh I might buy one. I don’t know why since I never got the appeal of the original product, but specifically the giant Bubu fascinates me just a little. Why’s he so giant??

Nothing wrong with liking Labubu btw, I collect figures and related plastic tat like its going out of style. I just think there’s cuter pieces of plastic shit you can hang from a purse than Labubu. Not a huge fan of his face to be honest, it’s too human looking for my tastes to be truly cute.

OBJECT 26-40: “Iggy Pop”

OBJECT 26-41: “El Enorme”

Big big walrus.

OBJECT 26-42: “Zamboni the Vampony”

OBJECT 26-43: “Zamboni the Vampony – FIGURE”

OBJECT 26-44: “- FIGURE”
